The St. John's men's golf
team closed out the season in
strong fashion, as the Red Storm
won their second consecutive
team championship with their
first place finish at the Princeton
Invitational on Saturday.

The Johnnies shot a masterful
583 over the shortened tworound
event. The third and final
round was canceled due to the
crippling Noreaster, which brutalized
much of the east coast
with several inches of rain and
wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Junior co-captain Keegan
Bradley took second place, finishing
two-under par at 140. He
was just two strokes shy of first
place, which went to John
Sawin of Princeton. Bradley
carded a four-under par, shooting
67 in round one and a twoover
par 73 in round two.

Junior George Zolotas and
sophomore Kevin Velardo
helped seal the victory with
their top 20 performances, finishing
with a score of 148 each.

Both Zolotas and Velardo faired
better in the second round of the
event, as the second-year
Velardo posted a one-under par
with a score of 70 and Zoltas
carded a 72.

Freshmen Mike Ballo Jr.
and Dan Mollicone finished
with a score of 151 and 152,
respectively.
