St. John's has announced the signing of Mike Cavataio and Paris Horne for the 2007-2008 recruitng class. Cavataio, a guard/forward from Forest Hills, was long rumored to be joining the Red Storm for the '07-'08 season before signing.
St. John's hopes the incoming class will be able to sufficiently replace Avery Patterson, a one-dimensional sharp shooter who announced his transfer from the university. It is hoped the additions will off-set the loss of forward Rob Thomas, a powerful player who sat out his freshman year due to an NCAA mandated year in residence before tearing his
ACL and LCL on March 26.
The incoming recruits will join guard Malik Boothe, forward Justin Burrell, and big-man Dele Coker to start the season.
