Louis Desmarteaux capped off his 2007 spring tennis season with a third career selection to the Big East All-Tournament team. The senior captain was bestowed with the same honor in the spring of 2004 and 2006.

After going 4-1 in the Big East during the regular season, the Desmarteaux-led Red Storm continued their in-conference success by placing fourth in the Big East tournament. Desmarteaux was 1-0 in singles play at the number one position during tournament and was leading in both of his unfinished matches.

With Desmarteaux's leadership the Red Storm finished the season with a 13-9 overall record. Desmarteaux himself went 19-8 including 14 wins in the No.1 spot and a 5-3 record in tournament play. He also amassed 15 wins while suffering only one loss at No. 2 doubles while teaming with freshman Martin Kosut.

Destmarteaux, who is from Ontario, is the son of Lou Desmarteaux who played college tennis at Wake Forest and was once ranked in the top 150 in the world.
