The men of St. John's played impressive golf this weekend, finishing second to the University of West Florida with a score of 832 (8 under par) in the McLaughlin Invitational. Sophomore Mike Ballo Jr. led the way with a score of 207 (3 under par) to finish fourth overall.

Senior Keegan Bradley shot a 208 and junior Kevin Velardo shot a 209. Senior George Zolotas and sophomore Evan Beirne shot 212 and 213, respectively.

St. John's was the only participant to post team scores below par in all three rounds. Five of the men finished in the top fifteen while no other team had more than 3 players to do so.

With this second place finish, following a third place finish in the Hawks Classic, the team now looks to continue the upward trend Friday, October 5, in the Mission Inn Classic.
