Women's golf finishes sixth at Princeton Invt

The St. John's women's golf team traveled to Princeton, New Jersey this past weekend for its first tournament of the year. The two day tournament took place at Springdale Golf Club. The ladies finished in sixth place out of the 15 team tournament.

Host Princeton finished in first with a 38 over 614, while the Red Storm finished with a 69 over 648. Individually, St. John's had two top twenty finishes. Leading the Red Storm was senior Brittany Lambertson who finished seventh with an 11 over 155, and sophomore Michelle Romano, who placed 16th with a 14 over 158.

Other notable efforts included Renee Cloutier who finished with a 23 over 167 and Lois Kim, 25 over 169.

The Red Storm finished in the top five three times last year, including a third place finish in last years Princeton Invitational. Its next task will be teeing off in the Yale Fall Intercollegiate tournament this Saturday.
