Barack Obama
Party: Democrat
Current occupation: Illinois Senator
Despite having served only four years in the senate, Barack Obama has generated a strong student support base, helping him win the Iowa primary.
John McCain
Party: Republican
Current occupation: Arizona Senator
John McCain has been a dominating figure in the Republican Party and came very close to getting the nomination back in 2000.
Mitt Romney
Party: Republican
Former Massachusetts Governor
Although he came in a disappointing second in the Iowa primary, Mitt Romney still poses a threat after an impressive win in Michigan.

While I'm an Obama supported, I would feel guilty not mentioning an error I noticed in this article about the candidates.
The Article in the Jan 30th issue states that Barack Obama has served in the US Senate for 4 years. (Continued…)
