So, Valentine's Day is right around the corner and you still haven't found that perfect present for your sweetheart? It's quite understandable. Being a full-time student, participating in extra-curricular activities, playing sports and maintaining a part-time job (while all your money is going to books and tuition, by the way) can be difficult to manage. How will you make the time to buy a spectacular present when all your schedule allows is Russell Stover chocolates and gas station flowers? Here are a few ideas that will impress the special person in your life and won't break the bank.

Tell the woman you love how "beary" special she is with a Giant Hershey's Kisses Basket with Boyd's Bear, $30 (www.hersheygifts.com). You could customize the bow around the plush bear's neck as well the ribbon coming through the top of the milk chocolate kiss with a touching quote or personalized message.

Does your significant other always listen to music? Do his earphones seem as if they're glued inside his ears most of the time? You could have him rock out at home with the new ihome portable speaker nano, $30 (www.redenvelope.com). This lightweight speaker has a water resistant case as well as a protective shield to protect his iPod. Now he can listen to his favorite tunes in the comfort of his own home, and not just while en route to work. (Sidenote: first and second generation iPods can be used for the speaker nano).

Is your sweetheart the laid-back type? Does he like to lounge in his favorite chair with remote in hand and spend the day watching sports? The Recliner PJ's, $39.95 (www.pajamagram.com), may be just what he needs to feel completely in his comfort zone. Illustrated on the pants are pictures of recliners, TVs, remote controls and bags of chips, and a 100 percent Brushed Cotton burgundy shirt is part of the deal.

Some college students have a significant other that is away at school. In order to tell them how you feel, don't send them a card in the mail and let Hallmark express your innermost thoughts-send a Valentine Postcard Glass Block, $16.95 (www.findgift.com). The glass block resembles a postcard and you could write heartfelt messages without the envelope.

Forget the chocolates! Try a different approach and give the gift of sweetness. The Sweet Box, $25 (www.theobsessionbox.com) comes with Mrs. Field Cookies, Mike & Ikes, Dots, Good & Plenty and other hard candies. You are sure to satisfy their sweet tooth.
