Congratulations graduates of 2008! You have completed four years of high school with all the exams, pressure of doing well on SAT's and choosing the best college. But now it's time to start a new chapter in your life: the next four years of college in which you will grow into a young mature adult and learn to be independent, have a little more freedom and really get to know yourself better as you grow.
The appearance of St. John's University is changing. Nearly $150 million are being spent on renovations and newly constructed projects for the campus, said Brij Anand, vice president for Construction and Facilities. Anand said that "these projects are focused to improve facilities for students learning experience on campus.
A University library is a place where students can go for print resources. However, with St. Augustine Hall currently undergoing renovations to the basement, third, and fourth floors, in addition to its removal of some books during the Spring semester, it may be a little challenging for students to access adequate materials.
St. John's accepted over 18,000 new freshmen students for this upcoming semester after receiving more than 40,000 applications for the 2008-2009 school year. The Office of Admissions reports the number is an increase over the initial 30,000 students they calculated applied to St.
Men's soccer head coach Dave Masur says that no position on his team is set yet. So, before Big East play begins for St. John's men's soccer, the team will taste their first competition during the pre-season, when all the players' efforts will be on trying to win playing time.
