Campaigns for the 2026-2027 Student Government Inc. (SGI) executive board were announced on March 26 ahead of upcoming elections from April 13-15. The running tickets include VISION and ACT Now’s independent candidate Korey McElroy.
Candidates debated on April 9 on several key issues, providing voters with more detailed descriptions of their campaign promises.
The VISION campaign plans to expand and modernize many current SGI initiatives, with a focus on efficiency and student input.
They plan to continue efforts to repurpose unused space on the first floor of the D’Angelo Center, improve the on-campus dining and develop residential living support, ensuring “community-building programs are the priority.”
In addition, they are focusing on efficiency and technologically-based projects. VISION plans to introduce digital Storm Cards, create an AI-powered parking system that would “provide live updates” about parking availability and to add Dunkin to the Boost app.
Other planned initiatives include complimentary printing vouchers via the WEPA system, guest passes to the fitness center and a tiered funding system for student organizations, which focuses on “fluidity for organizations.”

VISION candidates:
President: Andrew Fludd
Vice President: Madison Yates
Secretary: Ayman Mohammed
Treasurer: Samantha Staromana
Press Secretary: Kelysse Ochoteco
Senior Programming Coordinator: Alliyah Sadiq
Korey McElroy is ACT Now’s sole candidate and he is running for President of SGI. ACT stands for Accountability, Transparency and Change, which McElroy believes can result in a “campus renaissance.”
His first steps would be to finish the enactment of bills brought forward by the previous administration.
After this work is complete, he plans to create an online library and archive with publications from student organizations, reform the shuttle system and implement a new way to determine student organization allocations, which is similar to how Fraternity and Sorority Life operates.
