Jeffrey Epstein, notorious sex trafficker, is back in the spotlight after both Democrats and Republicans have called for the release of the Epstein files.
The files contain the emails and other documents with information relating to the sex trafficking operation that Epstein and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell conducted for years. What many people want to know is who exactly is on the “list” of names associated with Epstein.
Just last week, a series of emails were released by the House Oversight Committee. The messages show discussions with his brother, Mark Epstein, and journalist Michael Wolff. Epstein and various others involved in the operation discuss President Trump.
In fact, Wolff, who has used the criminal to gain information on Trump, has even heard from Epstein that he was his “best friend.”
At the very least, the emails prove Trump’s involvement with Epstein and a general knowledge of his activities. At the most, it demonstrates Trump’s active participation in the sex trafficking ring.
There is nothing scarier to Trump than the contents of these files. We can see that in his reactions to reporters’ questions on the matter. He used phrases like “Quiet, piggy” to fire back and draw attention away from the actual content of the question.
It’s easy to see why. The Epstein files are the one thing there’s complete bipartisan agreement on.
Initially against the move, Trump quickly changed course after realizing the overwhelming majority of legislators wanted to see the list of names associated with Epstein.
The victims have made statements ahead of the House vote on Nov. 18, where the president was criticized for the emotional turmoil he put the victims through by being so adamantly against the files’ release.
Trump seems to exist in an alternate world where whatever he says or does is justified by his party and constituents.
Foreign tariffs imposed on other countries? Fine. Sending the national guard into notoriously liberal cities? No problem. Sending ICE all over the country to forcibly detain illegal immigrants. Go ahead!
Associating with Epstein seems to be the only thing his own party cannot get behind.
It makes sense. The girls Epstein and Maxwell assaulted were American girls. They were the kind of girls his supporters might know or raise themselves. When you can look at pictures or read descriptions of girls that look similar to your daughter or niece, the situation becomes far less removed than typical Trump activities.
Moreover, there is no way to spin the narrative. The president has become a master at making situations that will harm the American public seem like a gift that we should all be grateful for. When he was sexually abusing a woman, it could be overlooked as a one-time thing. In his eyes, he was simply the victim of cancel-culture that he would protect other Americans from.
But what is there for voters to gain from the president allegedly assaulting little girls? Not even his most ardent supporters can seem to find an answer.
As events unfold over the next few weeks, there are a few things to remember.
The first is that Donald Trump won the presidency twice against women, often using or validating outdated and misogynistic tactics to do so.
The next is that Donald Trump is a known pervert who was convicted of sexual abuse. The guy is weird. These files and his previous history reveal exactly the type of person he is. I wouldn’t trust him to be alone in my living room with a friend. Why would I ever want him in the Oval Office?
“Loser” and “pervert” are the two words that come to mind when thinking about the leader of our nation. The recent show of bipartisanship in the House and Senate proves these names are catching on.
