Danielle Chambers finished with a game-high 15 rebounds (eight offensive) and six points, while Greeba Barlow, Monique McLean and Kia Wright reached double figures with 12, 11 and 10 points, respectively.

St. John’s (3-0) got off to a hot start as Wright gained control of the tip and converted a lay-up for the first points of the game. From there, St. John’s jumped out to a 12-2 lead at the 17-minute mark.

Although Monmouth (1-2) pulled within two points with 8:18 left in the first half at 21-19, the Red Storm regrouped and ended the half on an impressive 24-0 run to take a 45-19 lead into the locker room.

St. John’s maintained its comfortable lead in the second half, and went on to win by a final score of 72-49.

Walker shot 5-for-10, including 2-for-2 from behind the 3-point line, to lead the Red Storm with 13 points. The senior guard also grabbed four rebounds.

Barlow was 5-for-10 from the field for 12 points and added three rebounds, while Wright notched her third-straight double figure game with 10 points. The junior guard also dished out five assists and had three steals.
