The ECAC Championships always end a track season. On Saturday, Nov. 18 at Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx, N.Y., the men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the championship meet.
On the women’s side, St. John’s finished ninth out of 24 teams. Princeton won the women’s team title. The St. John’s men’s team finished 12th out of 25 teams. Penn State won the men’s team title.
Dinah Mensah (Bronx, N.Y.) was the top cross country runner for the Red Storm. She placed 22nd overall with a time of 19:13. She earned ALL-BIG EAST Honors with a top 25 performance.
Freshman Marc Crosswell (Elmont, N.Y.) led the Red Storm to a 12th place finish with his time of 26:56 which was good for 39th place. Andrew Jansick (Smithtown, N.Y.) had a time of 27:08 for 48th place.
The fall cross country season is now over and the team will be in preparation for the indoor season starting in December.
