Storm falls to Louisville

Louisville 2, St. John’s 1

The first game of the weekend came against Louisville and resulted in a 2-1 loss. Kelly McConnell scored a goal early in the game to give the Storm a 1-0 advantage. After receiving a pass from Jalalian, McConnell deposited the ball in the upper left-hand corner of the net. Louisville (9-1-1, 4-1-0) later tied the score on a goal by Jamie Craft in the second half. The Cardinals put the game away in the 86th minute. After being awarded a corner kick, Laura Walker crossed the ball and Erica Robinson headed in the game-winning goal.
