Holiday Beauty on a Budget

Bobbie Thomas, Today Show style expert and E! beauty correspondent, has some creative (and totally inexspensive!) gift ideas for the beauty junkie in your life. She suggests creating a “beauty spa stocking” full of drug store products. With everyone on a tight budget this year, drug store beauty products are a great alternative to more expensive products at shops like Sephora, which can cost upwards of $20 each. If you look attentively enough, you can find products that are the same quality, or even better, for much cheaper.

“Value-wise, you’ll be getting some bang from your buck,” says Thomas.

One thing is for certain- these gift ideas are a sure-fire way to please any girl on your holiday shopping list!

One of Thomas’ favorite products is the Venus Spa Breeze razor ($9.99)-it has three blades and built-in gel bars, so you don’t need soap, and you can recreate a spa environment right at home.

Thomas also says she loves Caswell-Massey Cucumber Eye Pads ($5, drugsture.com), which contain chamomile, aloe vera and green tea, soothing puffiness and those dark circles you probably have from staying up to study for finals!

Another great product to include, says Thomas, is Burt’s Bees Pore-Refining Mask ($7.99, drugstore.com)-it cleanses pores and will give you a glowing complexion. Burt’s Bees has tons of other natural products that would be great to include in this gift, such as lip shimmers and nourishing moisturizers.

If you are willing to splurge, Thomas suggests Bliss moisturizing mittens and booties ($64-$68, bliss.com). The money will be well worth it-wear them overnight for revitalized, nourished hands and feet!

If you’re traveling this holiday season, and don’t want to lug around your entire stock of products, Thomas suggest looking for 2-in-1 products-you’ll cut back on what you have to carry and you won’t have to worry about losing them either!
