Adele just came back to say “Hello”

British superstar, Adele, has burst back onto the music scene this week with the unveiling of the music video for her new song, “Hello.” With 27.7 million views on Vevo in the first 24 hours, this new hit has just surpassed the previous record set by Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” Not to mention that the 27-year-old’s song has also beat out the ever-popular “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus as well as Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” for the top spot. This has been Adele’s first album release since her breakout record, 21. Her record-breaking album has sold over 18 million copies worldwide and had spent 24 weeks at number one on the Billboard charts. This means that fans are expecting big things from her upcoming third studio album, 25. The complete set of tracks will be unveiled and available to the public on November 20.

It also seems that the mother of one does not only has a knack for singing but also for keeping her personal life under wraps. Adele has always been one to keep her private life out of the spotlight, but coming off of a three year hiatus, the singer is ready to tell it all in an undercoming television special. The one-hour interview entitled Adele on BBC will feature the British superstar in front of a live audience along with British talk show host, Graham Norton. This will be the first time she has appeared on the silver screen since her Oscar appearance in 2013. However, this will not be the only T.V. appearance Adele will be making this month. She will also be performing as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on November 21, alongside of Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey. Adele has previously shown her skills on the Studio 8H stage while singing “Chasing Pavements” when promoting her album in 2008.

During her time off, Adele had given birth to her son, Angelo James Konecki, as well as gotten engaged to boyfriend, Simon Konecki. When asked about motherhood in a recent interview with i-D magazine, the star confessed,  “I thought it would be easy. [I thought,] Everyone freaking does it, how hard can it be? Ohhhhh. I had no idea. It is hard but it’s phenomenal. It’s the greatest thing I ever did.” She has just recently celebrated her son’s third birthday and is loving every minute of it. She also quickly mentioned how her new role as a mother definitely made an influence on her new album.

Fans of Adele first enjoyed her emotional ballads on her groundbreaking album, 21, and have continued to come back for more. In a recent interview with SiriusXM, Adele stated that, “My last record was labeled a “breakup record,” and rightly so, it was a breakup record, but this one is about how I feel as opposed to how someone else has made me feel.” Even though the singer has been off the radar for about three years, she is now back and better than ever. It seems that the singer has wasted no time since she has returned to her music career, and she absolutely shows no sign of stopping. With a brand-new smash hit already under her belt, it is no secret that we can expect the same from her upcoming album.
